The January transfer market proves to be a time of significant speculation and potential major moves. A number of prominent footballers are being connected to transfers away from their current teams. Here is a look at some of the major figures that might be changing clubs in January.

Antoine Semenyo

This English defender has continued to impress for Palace despite a previous transfer to Anfield collapsing. As his deal set to expire in the close season, January is the London club's last opportunity to secure a transfer fee for their skipper. Numerous top clubs, including Manchester City and several continental powerhouses including Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, are believed to be interested. However, a January exit is considered unlikely, especially given the manager's reliance on the player.

Brennan Johnson

The Welsh forward has had first-team minutes hard to come by at Spurs this term. This experienced Germany goalkeeper is now as the third option at Barcelona under the manager Flick. Having fallen out of favour and had surgery, a January exit seems increasingly probable.
