Star Rejects Anti-Vaxxer Views After Narrating Controversial Pandemic Documentary

The acclaimed actor has given his narration to a feature-length documentary that questions the safety of vaccinations and lauds ex- government figure RFK Jr.

The Feature's Provocative Basis

Called "Plague of Corruption," the film is adapted from a well-known publication co-authored by a disgraced researcher, who rose to infamy during the pandemic for claims that the virus was linked to a bad strain of the influenza shot.

Her writing partner, the executive producer, has also written books with conspiracy-prone figure the Infowars host. Heckenlively wrote online hailing Neeson's participation in the film.

A Strong Denial

A spokesperson for the actor have provided a comment pushing back against claims that he holds anti-vax views.

"We all recognize that corruption may occur within the drug industry, but that must not be confused with opposition to vaccines," the statement explains. "Neeson never has been, and is not, anti-vax. His long work with Unicef reinforces his enduring support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

It noted that the actor did not shape the project's messaging and that concerns about its content should be directed to the producers.

Central Themes Within the Documentary

As presented, the script read by Neeson features several controversial claims:

  • It states that pro-immunization voices have called for "blind obedience" to public institutions.
  • It posits that "science has become deeply influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured stating, "The big problem with vaccines is that they are not properly vetted."
  • The film further attacks pandemic restrictions, claiming they caused psychological harm that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of pandemic shots, it cites a perspective that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Historical Controversy and Current Debates

It includes a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was afterwards the focus of a formal apology by the corporation for editorial breaches.

Recently, RFK Jr called on the Centers for Disease Control to alter its long-held position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism. This supposed link is echoed in the film, despite a recent study from the WHO reiterating no evidence has been found.

An Earlier Position of Advocacy

Contrasting the documentary's narrative, Neeson has in the past shown clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he called vaccines as "an incredible triumph," adding that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in human history."

"Plague of Corruption" ends with Neeson's voice saying, "This marks not the end of our story. It is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
