Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A representative for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an investigation into reports of questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
